Together with Giesecke & Devrient (G&D), the assistance service provider ALLYSCA has developed recognition software that allows companies to check customer identities by video. The only technical requirements are a computer with a webcam or a mobile device like a tablet and a smartphone. The software complies with all the security regulations of the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). ALLYSCA has already sold the identification software to several financial service providers.

The tool, developed in cooperation with G&D, helps companies make the required personal identification procedure less inconvenient for their customers. It involves no media discontinuities and does not use paper or require letters to be sent by post. Customers can easily verify their identities when concluding contracts online or logging into customer portals. ‘In this digital age, video identification is a great customer interface tool, supporting more customer-friendly services with cost-efficient processes’, explains Markus Kunze, CEO of ALLYSCA. ‘It’s versatile and convenient, and not limited to business hours’. ALLYSCA is offering the tool to companies from the insurance and finance sectors as a white-label product. Frank Nordmann, Director/Sales Manager D.A.C.H at G&D, emphasizes the software’s high security standards: ‘ID checks for online contracts require a high level of security, so nobody – customers, companies, manufacturers or authorities – has to compromise. In ALLYSCA, we have an expert, reliable partner delivering high-quality service’. You can find an explanatory video and more information here.
